Dahlia Dividing and Growing Workshop - 15th August
Join us at Maeve’s Garden Flower Farm for an afternoon learning all about growing and dividing dahlias.
Whether you’ve started growing a few dahlias and want more confidence caring for them, or you’re ready to learn how to lift and divide your established clumps, this hands-on workshop will give you the knowledge to grow beautiful blooms in your own garden.
We’ll share what we’ve learnt from growing dahlias here at Maeve’s Garden, and practical tips you can adapt to your own garden.
We’ll cover:
Lifting and storing dahlias
Identifying eyes and dividing clumps
Planting and growing tubers
Raising dahlias from seed
There will be plenty of time for questions, and you’re welcome to bring along a dahlia clump if you’d like specific advice.
Each attendee will take home a bundle of tubers including: two named varieties, one Maeve’s Garden seedling and one lucky dip tuber
Afternoon tea platters will be provided.
When: Saturday 15 August, 1:00pm (approximately 2 hours)
Please dress warmly in case of cold weather — we’ll be undercover if it’s wet.
We can’t wait to spend an afternoon sharing our love of dahlias with you.
